Liberty University’s Reber-Thomas Dining Center has achieved dining excellence, securing the Grand Prize for Residential Facility of the Year and New Facility of the Year at the 2024 Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards. These national awards, presented by the National Association of College & University Food Services, celebrate exceptional planning, innovative execution, and high-quality dining experiences. Presented during the National Association of College and University Food Services’ annual conference in Louisville, Kentucky on July 20, this recognition follows the center’s gold awards in both categories in June.
“This project was a collaborative effort, involving input from students, dining staff, and university faculty to meet the needs of the entire campus community,” says Principal Jay Woodburn, AIA, LEED AP. “It’s incredibly rewarding to see the dining hall bring people together—the award is wonderful recognition of this achievement.”
