Originally an un-flagged boutique in the heart of Washington DC’s Embassy Row, Baskervill was engaged to convert the existing property into a unique property destined for Marriott’s distinctive Tribute Portfolio. The comprehensive renovation included upgrades to the façade and public spaces, as well as updates to the lower level and rooftop pool and bar areas. The design seeks to tell the story of Nordic hospitality with quirky modernity and humanistic qualities. The simplicity and minimalism of Scandinavian design serve as the foundation of the design, with influences of visionary modernist artists, creating a clean yet vibrant and sophisticated story.
