In the first phase of Chesterfield’s vibrant mixed-use development—Springline at District 60—Baskervill and Design-Build partner Hourigan were selected to design a new five-story, 150,000-square-foot Class A multi-tenant office building. Timmons Group, Chesterfield County Public Schools, and Chesterfield Economic Development Authority occupy the building, which embodies collaboration, innovation, and community development. Designed as a tribute to structural excellence, the building seamlessly integrates brick and metal, accentuating concealed structural configurations.
Inside, a sophisticated style defines the lobby, reception, and communal areas, complemented by a rooftop terrace offering sweeping panoramic views. The lobby, reception, and communal areas exude a refined corporate ambiance, featuring a neutral and soft palette, textured flooring, and subtle wood accents.
Prioritizing environmental sustainability, the design includes two rooftop units for climate control and a solar photovoltaic battery array for efficient environmental impact monitoring. In partnership with Dominion Energy Solutions, the team installed a 126-kW solar system through the On-Site Solar Program, enabling net-zero energy use. Generating 156,000 kWh annually, the system offsets 122 tons of CO₂ emissions, underscoring the project’s environmental commitment. The completion of this office building and its adjoining parking deck marks the first major milestone in the Springline development.
