At the start of the Richmond Slave Trail, in a grassy field between the James River and the existing parking area, a new trailhead and amphitheater will sit. Designed to orient users to the historical and cultural significance of the Richmond Slave Trail and the trade of enslaved Africans, it is envisioned as an experiential exhibit, gathering point for guided tours, and wayfinding tool for self-guided visitors.
