Formerly a Macy’s department store, the NOVA Aquatics of Virginia facility features an eight lane 50-meter competition pool and two three-lane 25-yard warm water pools. These pools support all of NOVA’s current swim programming, including their competition team and swim opportunities for HCPS students. Additional facilities include team rooms, showering and changing areas, and ample deck space for swim meets and spectator seating. NOVA also provides additional office space for the team’s coaching and administration staff, and offers an on-site swim shop.

Years later, the renovation continued with a 29,000-square-foot expansion that introduces a mezzanine wrapping three sides of the pool—adding 1,000 second-floor spectator seats and doubling overall capacity. The addition also introduced an expanded swim shop and a 180-person community room to further promote connection in and out of the water.
