“Uber-flexible. Extraordinary. Every design feature must make business sense.” These directives from a client would be a tall order for any project, but these were even more challenging given the complex physical and cultural demands of this commercial furniture dealership. Through Baskervill’s Immersion process, Creative Office discovered innovative design solutions to transform their traditional sales showroom into a dynamic and fully integrated work environment. Facing an aggressive 10-month schedule, Baskervill transformed a bare site into an 88,000-sf headquarters that combined the company’s corporate sales office, retail showroom, and highbay warehouse. Favorite features include a loft-inspired mezzanine, mobile workstations, a solutions garage, and streaming video projected onto perimeter walls. The project resulted in an immediate increase in customer foot traffic as well as an uptick in team collaboration and morale.
