Both universally designed and handicap accessible, these one-story craftsman-inspired cottages offer the best in independent senior living. All 18 units feature one of six floor plans, giving residents easy access to the home’s many amenities, including one bedroom, one bathroom, a full kitchen, and an open living area. The units are designed to be as low-maintenance as possible, with strategically selected materials such as shingle siding. Large front and back porches, as well as walkable paths and a community garden, help to create an inviting and friendly community for its senior residents. The RRHA development project, which is adjacent to the city’s booming Manchester district, hopes to serve as a catalyst for additional infill projects within the historically fractured community, ultimately creating a vital connection between past, present, and future.
