Pittsburgh’s “Steel City” character is the foundation of the renovation to the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott, where Baskervill provided interior architecture, design, and engineering services. The project renovated the hotel’s public spaces to include the new Marriott Greatroom feature, and updated adjacent spaces including the restaurant and bar, coffee shop, fitness center, concierge lounge, and meeting spaces. Reference to the City’s industrial heritage is honored in the palette and textures found in water, brick, corrugated metal and steel.
