With an oceanfront parcel along Virginia Beach’s coveted Atlantic Avenue ripe for redevelopment, we worked with our clients to develop this new build, 120-key Moxy by Marriott. The design of Moxy Virginia Beach Oceanfront centers on Moxy’s playful brand aesthetic, intermingling the classic Virginia Beach ethos with today’s vibe with a whimsical “come play in our sandbox” vision. The seven-story, L-shaped property includes a restaurant and bar, lounge, pool deck with sunken bar and sun deck, game areas, and distinctive elements such as a slide, picnic area, and swings. A vibrant color palette mixed with beachy weathered woods, woven textures, and patina’d bronze.
