The design for this credit union harnesses the power of a busy corner intersection and glass features to communicate fewer barriers between members and staff. Following a total transformation at another branch, DuPont Community Credit Union brought Baskervill back on board to design this new branch from the ground up. The 5,200-sf branch discards traditional banking, taking advantage of new technologies and responding to the latest in financial trends. The result is a bright, dynamic space that is at once modern yet comfortable. Teller lines are replaced with pods for meaningful face-to-face interaction between the credit union’s staff and members. Other key features include transparent unassigned offices, a strategically designed marketing wall, and an eye-catching member-service bar. The exterior design serves as a striking contemporary beacon against the town’s rural backdrop.
