Baskervill masterplanned and designed a campus that included a new headquarters, data center and distribution center in the Greenbriar section of Chesapeake. The design needed to accommodate a tight construction schedule. This was the first construction experience for this fast-growing company.
The master plan includes a 400,000 square foot, fully-automated distribution facility with a covered walkway to join adjacent buildings. Baskervill met rapid construction demands by choosing precast panels and a conventional steel frame. The tremendous success of this project met Dollar Tree’s immediate needs and gave Baskervill the opportunity to design two future office additions and six other distribution centers, totaling 4,200,000 of built square feet.
