In today’s shifting market, design extends far beyond trend-casting. Which is why we’re all about creating spaces that reflect brands, cater to users, and drive tangible outcomes. Jessica Zullo, NCIDQ, Baskervill’s new Studio Director, aligns perfectly with this ethos. With her extensive experience and genuine passion for all things design, Jessica brings fresh perspectives, energy, and enthusiasm to our Richmond, Virginia-based team, further propelling us toward our goal of crafting impactful spaces that positively affect their communities.
What keeps Jessica excited about the ever-evolving design landscape is not just inspired aesthetics, but the profound impact intentional design decisions can have on organizations and their communities.
“My role has evolved over the years,” explains Jessica. “These days, I gravitate towards a holistic cross-studio design approach, where I can help shape not just spaces, but the experiences within them. For me, the thrill lies in guiding my team towards the common goal, fostering design and creating memorable places that enhance day-to-day experiences simultaneously.”
Joining Baskervill marks an exciting new chapter for Jessica. Driven by new experiences and a thirst for knowledge, she is eager to dive into new project types and markets. But it’s not just about the work — it’s about the people, too.
“I'm passionate about forging connections, internally and externally,” says Jessica, "and my decision to join Baskervill was fueled by this passion. I’m excited to collaborate with a team whose creativity and expertise I’ve long admired.”
“In Jessica, we have found not just a talented designer, but a vibrant team player and collaborator whose vision aligns perfectly with our own,” shares Principal Alan Davis, AIA, LEED AP. “We are beyond thrilled to welcome her to the Baskervill team.”
Outside of the office, Jessica’s creativity is fueled by spending time in new cities — whether it’s a walking tour or a cooking class learning about different cultures. On the weekends, she enjoys spending time on the water with her husband and two young sons.
