Baskervill is proud to announce that Liberty University’s Reber-Thomas Dining Center has been selected to appear as an Outstanding Design in the 2025 American School & University Educational Interiors Showcase, a prestigious national recognition celebrating design excellence in educational environments. This accolade reflects a rigorous selection process led by top educators and design professionals who evaluate projects for their innovation, functionality, and the positive impact on campus communities.
Serving as the primary dining facility on campus, the Reber-Thomas Dining Center supports up to 2,700 students and 28 thoughtfully arranged food stations, supported by robust back-of-house operations including prep kitchens and dishwashing.
"We approached the Reber-Thomas Dining Center knowing it would be the heart of campus life. With a space this grand, our priority was to make it feel approachable and intuitive. We envisioned a ‘main street’ of dining pods, each with its own character, to break down the scale and give students a sense of orientation in an abundancy of choice. This recognition from AS&U feels like a validation of this vision.”
This inclusion in the American School & University showcase builds on the project’s earlier success, where it received multiple Gold and Grand Prize honors at the National Association of College & University Food Services’ Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards, recognizing both its innovative design and operational success.
