Training Coordinator

In this job you’ll work in collaboration with leadership, subject matter experts, and human resources to determine training needs, implement training programs into company procedures, tracking program effectiveness and reviewing data from previous training programs to determine their success. Responsibilities

  • Map out annual training plans for management, HR, customer support and more
  • Assist in the design and development of training programs (outsourced and/or in-house)
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to design and develop in-house programs
  • Coordinate the selection of appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. videos, live lectures, outsourced, etc.)
  • Promote available training to employees and provide schedules and/or necessary information about sessions
  • Use known education principles and stay up-to-date on new training methods and techniques
  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session and needs analysis and identify skills or knowledge gaps
  • Research and recommend Learning Management Software for use in tracking training and development programs
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
  • Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
  • Facilitate transition of current lunch and learn program where vendors visit and provide education from a passive model to one that proactively reflects our growth and development program

Requirements and skills

  • 5+ years proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Training Facilitator, or similar role
  • Experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting.  Experience across multiple locations is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation
  • Adequate knowledge of learning management systems and web delivery tools (helpful)
  • Basic understanding of full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques
  • Experience with e-learning platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and video editing software
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • BS degree in Education, Training or related field
  • A/E/I industry experience a plus
