Mechanical Designer/Engineer

Baskervill is an award-winning, multi-disciplinary design firm with offices throughout the country and in Gdansk, Poland. We are currently looking for a qualified Mechanical Designer/Engineer to join our growing team.  This position provides the opportunity for you to work on a variety of design projects from Healthcare to Hospitality.  As a member of our team, you’ll collaborate with Architects and Interior Designers to facilitate the success of Baskervill as we deliver great designs to our clients. What you’ll be doing:

• Technical mechanical lead for assigned projects from schematic design through construction
• Perform or oversee all calculations required for design and edit specifications
• Coordinate design with disciplines, consultants and clients
• Field work as required
• Design layout and collaboration within Revit models
• Assist in the education of design staff
• Provide regular client and consultant communication throughout all phases of the project
• Some travel may be required

What you’ll need:

• 5+years of design experience
• BS in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
• EIT required, PE preferred
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Working knowledge of Revit, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office suite
• Proficiency with heating and cooling load calculation software
• Experience with Trace 3D Plus and LEED/energy modeling
