Baskervill is proud to celebrate two wins at the 2025 Golden Hammer Awards, presented by Historic Richmond as part of the organization’s 90th Preservation Week. For nearly a century, Historic Richmond has championed the creation of spaces that are welcoming, connected, aspirational, and beautiful. The program recognizes excellence in community revitalization across Greater Richmond, Virginia, honoring the architects, designers, developers, and community advocates whose work enhances the region’s most distinctive places through restoration, adaptive reuse, new construction, placemaking, and preservation.

Best Placemaking & Urban Design 

Honored in the “Best Placemaking and Urban Design” category, the Burying Ground Memorial at the University of Richmond stands as a deeply meaningful testament to remembrance, reflection, and reconnection. Through collaboration with local, university, and descendant communities and a design language rooted in artful symbolism, the project weaves together landscape, materials, and storytelling to create a shared space for collective memory.

Feed More’s new headquarters was recognized with the “Best New Construction” award, celebrating the nonprofit’s transformative new home. Purpose-built to amplify Feed More’s mission of nourishing neighbors across Central Virginia, the facility brings together modern workplace design and efficient logistics under one roof by combining the strengths of Baskervill’s Workplace and Manufacturing & Logistics Studios.
