We’re pleased to announce that Jeff Taylor has been named Principal, and Chris Cromer, Arielle Cummins, Ed Darr, Sonny Joy-Hogg, Elaina Lackaye, Ian McAteer, and Eline Warren have been named Associates.

Jeff Taylor Baskervill

Principal

Jeff is a client champion who thrives on the nuts-and-bolts complexity of Manufacturing & Logistics projects. With a sharp eye for detail and deep technical know-how, he brings precision to every project phase—from documentation to construction administration—making him a trusted partner on high-stakes, precise work. After over two decades at Baskervill, his portfolio spans hazardous chemical storage facilities, manufacturing plants, warehouses, distribution centers, and building code/life safety analyses. He is a proud member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Virginia Manufacturers Association (VMA). 

Now stepping into his role as Principal, Jeff is focused on shaping the future of the Manufacturing & Logistics Studio—mentoring the next generation of talent, strengthening client partnerships, and helping grow Baskervill’s national reach. He’s also looking forward to deepening collaboration across studios to design employee-centered spaces that support productivity and well-being. For him, success means delivering high-quality work through smooth client experiences—all while continuing to learn and lead with purpose.

Christopher Cromer Baskervill

Driven by an insatiable curiosity for the nuanced elements of design and emerging technologies, Christopher thrives as both a problem-solver and a mentor in the Workplace Studio. Acknowledged early in his career for precise model management, he goes beyond the typical architect’s role—heightening efficiencies, exploring new tools like 3D printing, and helping others tackle tricky design challenges. He’s an active member of the firm’s Production Committee and serves on the advisory board of BIMxt, where he contributes to advancing industry-wide innovation. Beyond the office, he brings his signature can-do spirit to his community, serving as both a board and staff member of Tri-Cities Workcamps to support hands-on volunteer efforts.

Arielle Cummins

Associate | Director of Term Contracts

Arielle brings a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit and artistic vision to her role as Director of Term Contracts in the Education Studio. Grounded in decades of experience in a wide variety of award-winning projects—from sports arenas and cancer centers to co-working spaces, hotels, and higher education—she excels at balancing big-picture design with day-to-day execution. A natural connector, Arielle has built a reputation as an empathetic listener; share your needs once, and you can trust she will deliver. Looking ahead, Arielle is energized by the opportunity to keep expanding client relationships, growing her team, and exploring new ways to deliver smart, people-centered design.

Edward Darr

Associate | Chief Financial Officer

Financial stability isn’t just a business goal; it’s the cornerstone of our firm’s growth. That’s why Edward’s role is all about weaving stability and diversification into our financial fabric. He possesses decades of experience in financial leadership roles across various segments of the A/E/C industry, including architecture, real estate development, and consulting. His sunny disposition fuels his passion for his multifaceted role, where he collaborates seamlessly across every pocket of our operations to drive strategic growth decisions.

Sonny Joy Hogg Baskervill

Associate | Project Designer

Sonny is driven by a desire to shape spaces that impact communities. A citizen architect in its truest sense, Sonny’s work in our Mixed-Use & Multifamily Studio dovetails directly into his volunteer efforts as a mentor and leader with local youth organizationsone for the many reasons he was selected as a recipient of the AIA Virginia Emerging Professional Award in 2022. Inspired by the places and people of his travels, Sonny brings a human-centered approach to all that he does. He was founding member and served as chairman of the Young Professionals Board at ART 180, volunteered at 6PIC and Oakwood Arts, is a co-leader of Baskervill’s youth education and development initiatives, and now serves as co-chair for Project Pipeline of VANOMA

Elaina Lackaye Baskervill

Associate | Design Director

As a Designer Director in the Hospitality Studio, Elaina brings a dynamic and creative energy to every hospitality project, designing spaces that are as intentional as they are inviting. With an eye for human experience, her design philosophy revolves around crafting interiors that tell a story. She creates interiors that feel as good as they look, shaping memorable guest experiences through thoughtful touches, purposeful flow, and immersive details. Her portfolio includes a diverse array of projects, including boutique properties across the United States and house-hold names such as Hilton and Marriott. Elaina brings a spark of positivity to every challenge—using each new opportunity not just to grow herself, but to uplift her team.

Ian AcAteer Baskervill

Associate | Studio Director

Within the dynamic landscape of the healthcare industry, Ian thrives on the constant evolution it presents. His passion lies in building detailing, particularly shell and core structures, although he relishes the opportunity to tackle intricate interior details. Ian understands the significance of maintaining a positive design process while actively participating in construction, making sure clients see their visions come to life. Working alongside Ian promises a blend of expertise, humor, and unwavering commitment to client satisfaction. As he steps into this new role, he looks forward to continuing to grow the Healthcare Studio with purposeful leadership.

Eline Warren

Associate | Interior Designer

Eline brings nearly a decade of experience to Baskervill’s Workplace Studio, where she plays a key role in projects ranging from small nonprofit initiatives to large-scale corporate renovations. With a background in fine arts, she has a sharp eye for detail and a knack for uncovering the unique beauty in each project. She’s especially energized by the people and culture at Baskervill, and the ever-changing nature of design work. No day is the same, and that’s just how she likes it. Whether collaborating with her team or directly with her clients, Eline is a steady decision-maker who keeps things moving—one of the many reasons she was promoted to Associate.
